New USCIS VIBE iUpdate Tool
iUpdate allows companies to register online to see how their basic business information has been reported by Dun & Bradstreet before they file visa petitions with USCIS. E-Verify Self Check Now Available Nationwide
The availability of Self Check, which allows individuals to confirm their eligibility to work in the United States by entering the same information used by employers in performing E-Verify inquiries, has been expanded from 21 states and D.C. to all 50 states, plus Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Mariana Islands. State Department Releases March 2012 Visa Bulletin
The U.S. Department of State's March 2012 Visa Bulletin, which summarizes visa availability, indicates that some movement has occurred in the oversubscription date (i.e., the date on which the availability quota was met) for employment-based visa categories. Read the full post here. (February 15)
Pending Final Rule Will Allow Issuance of L Visas for the Same Time Period as the Visa Reciprocity Schedule
The U.S. Department of State has posted information about a pending final rule which will allow L-1 visas (for intracompany transferees) to be issued for the length of time corresponding to the individual's home country's visa reciprocity schedule. Read the full post here. (February 13)
